The PS3 Slim 250GB is simply the existing, albeit new, PS3 Slim but with a 250GB hard drive. If you recall, the initial PS3 Slim to be released came with 120GB which was less than the top-end original PS3 of 160GB.

This means that there is plenty of space to download and store games and possibly more likely, movies.
